Steps to Apply

Step 1

Review the Requirements

Before applying, ensure you meet the following criteria:

Age: At least 17 years old.
Education: High school diploma or GED recommended.
Placement Testing: Completion of required placement tests.
Physical Capability: Ability to perform the essential functions of the trade.

Step 2

Gather Necessary Documents

Final high school transcript or GED certificate.
Valid photo identification (e.g., driver’s license).
For veterans: submit a copy of your DD214.
Additional supporting documents (optional but beneficial):
- Certifications or specialized training records
- Resume
- Letters of recommendation

Complete Online Application

Fill out and submit the online application form.
Upon submission, you will receive a confirmation email.

Step 5

STEP 5 SUBMIT DOCUMENTATION

All documents must be submitted simultaneously.

Step 6

EXAM AND INTERVIEW PROCESS

Qualified applicants will be notified by email of the next entrance exam.
Once the exam is completed and scores have been received an interview with the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) will be scheduled.

Step 7

Ranking and Acceptance

After the interview, applicants are placed on a list and ranked based on exam and interview scores.
Ranking letters will be sent within a month after your interview.
Accepted candidates will be notified via phone and email.
